A residential redevelopment of an early Edwardian care home

Gibson House is a residential redevelopment of an existing 4/5 storey early Edwardian care home - Andrew Gibson House (Gibson House), and its surrounding grounds located on Seabank Road, Wallasey.

The scheme principally consists of one and two bedroom apartments, with some additional new-build housing achieving 131 1, 2 and 3 bedroom flats and independent family housing with two zones of associated car parking.

A mix of living options

The apartment layouts are varied to provide a mix of living options, which will create a varied community within the proposed development. The scheme also offers 26 apartments that will be provided for the Nautilus Welfare Trust, who specialise in extra care for retired seafarers and their kind.

This element of the design meets their desired space and design standards, which surpass Lifetime Homes.

The site’s location provides the opportunity to produce a residential scheme that fully utilises the sites historical assets, its topography and its location.
